In January 2016 I was invited to join a group of artists in “#create25in25”, a project challenging artists of all kinds to create one piece of art per week for 25 consecutive weeks. This collection of 14 multi-tracked compositions for guitars is the result of what I feel are the best of the 25 pieces that were my contribution.

My goal was to record an improvised piece every Friday evening that I would mix during the following days and release on the Thursday of each week. I hoped that I could make my way though each of the 25 weeks with a new composition that would be different, in some way, from the previous weeks’. I wasn’t “going for a certain sound”, nor was I trying to compose in any particular genre for this project. I hadn’t planned on putting these tunes together in any form of curated collection while I wrote either. But when I finished the 25 pieces and listened again, I decided that I wanted to choose from the group of them and make something new. Fast forward to now, at the end of 2019: after many challenges, I’m extremely happy to release this new collection and share it with you.

I’d like to thank Nelson Tam for bringing me into this project. To be given the opportunity to create art along side such a wonderful and talented group of people was a hell of an experience, one I’ll never forget.
